is that youth running
so wild in your veins? does that
cruelty burn so deep that it stains?

Occasionally we cannot always find the answers that we seek, and sometimes they are right before us. an augury of tears by =prairiedaisy, inspires so much in such few lines. It also makes us wonder too if those tears are as cruel as that passing riptide that will oftentimes carry them. (Featured by ^LadyLincoln)

The last line, than cruel riptide could be either 4 or 5 syllables depending on how you pronounce cruel...

Interesting.

But if your love is
Deeper than this, won't it last?
Longer than all mine

The more I read and picture it, the more haunting and vivid the imagery becomes.

The artist comments are beautiful, too.

Very good. I hate haiku by the way, but I still must confess: (I love haiku.)

I actually like the comments better than the actual haiku itself, but I guess that's just personal preference.

Cruel in my books has two syllables. I pronounce British but my accent is apparently North American [I wouldn't know. I don't make a habit of listening to myself much.]

some loves you have to murder.
